Parent and Child Placements

FFI has developed a specialist range of Parent and Child placements which can be provided to a parent(s) and their child(ren) to give them the best chance of being able to remain together.

These placements provide the opportunity for experiential learning by living within a family who can provide a nurturing environment in a family setting. 

Dependent on the specific needs of the family, FFI can provide a tailored package of support:

  • A placement agreement meeting followed by regular support visits by the foster carers Link Social Worker
  • FFI’s Therapist involvement in training, preparing and supporting the carer
  • FFI’s child care support workers can provide practical support as required
  • Ongoing educational support and educational outcomes monitoring for a parent of school age
