Fostering First Ireland (FFI) was established in 2005 with the aim of providing quality foster care in a family setting, which could meet the needs of the most challenging child or young person.
Following five years of continued growth and development, in placements and service provisioning, FFI now offers a truly viable solution for the HSE – both on price and the outcomes that we achieve.
FFI works in partnership with the HSE across the Republic of Ireland. We have offices based in Dublin, Cork, Durrow and County Leitrim to provide the highest quality foster care placements for children and young people in care.
We are firm believers in providing a local hands-on approach with the back-up and resource of a solid infrastructure, and we aim to achieve positive outcomes for our foster children, our foster families, and ultimately for the Local Health Offices we work in partnership with.

Through our highly acclaimed, holistic model of fostering, Team Parenting™, we deliver a wider network of therapeutic support services to foster carers, who are positioned as ‘agents of change’.
We deliver one-to-one attention and a responsive team of professionals operating around the clock to ensure that we are well-positioned to deliver the very best professional support, expertise and guidance, at any time.
Team Parenting™ placements have achieved enviable success in delivering positive outcomes for ‘difficult to place’ children and young people.
