Key facts

Fostering First Ireland (FFI) is an expanding organisation with a proud record of placement stability, educational achievement and delivering positive outcomes for children and young people.

Here’s few key facts to show you our achievements so far:

  • FFI now has 3 regional offices and 4 locally based Social Workers providing support services to foster carers and young people (June 2010)
     
  • There are currently over 80 children and young people placed with over 75 fostering families (February 2010)
     
  • 64% of children and young people have been in placement with FFI for 12 months or more (September 2009)
     
  • Of those children and young people who have been placed with FFI for over a week, 94% have an appropriate school place established (September 2009)
