About Fostering First Ireland (FFI)

Fostering First Ireland is a non-statutory fostering agency providing foster care services across Ireland. We have offices in Dublin, Cork, Carrick on Shannon and Durrow, providing foster carers with locally based foster carer training, fostering support and assistance throughout their fostering careers.

Foster Children we place

It is true to say that some of the children and young people placed in FFI's care have experienced severe forms of abuse and often harbour complex emotional issues. Through applying our Team Parenting™ model of foster care to support to such placements – delivering an extended network of support for the foster carer and the child or young person – we can address the individual and holistic needs of every child or young person placed with us.

Corporate Governance

Fostering First Ireland’s services have been developed upon the foundations of many years’ experience in fostering and Children’s Services. As part of the Core Assets Group of Companies, we have an established International background in the Children’s Services and Social Care sector.  Please visit our Corporate Governance page for further information about Core Assets.

Furthermore, our team has a wide range of experience in many aspects of Children’s Services – FFI staff, childcare staff, Social Workers, Education Officers and Therapist all have previous experience in Children's Services.

Fostering First Ireland believes in a strong vision for the future. There is currently over 5,000 children and young people in the care system and an ever increasing demand to deliver fostering placements to provide positive outcomes.
