Foster carer training
FFI is committed to providing quality foster carer training packages to all of our carers, in order for them to deal with the many demanding and complex aspects of fostering.
Foster carer training is viewed as an important element of FFI’s support package and is provided to foster carers both before their approval and throughout their fostering career.
Training FFI foster carers begins as part of the assessment process and prepares foster carers for the responsibilities that come with the fostering role. It also covers working with FFI.
Training FFI foster carers
In the 12 months following approval, carers complete 'Post Approval Training', which consists of 7 core training modules with accompanying activity packs.
Ongoing training in foster care
